With the implementation of the Interwise online
conferencing tool, communication and information
sharing will be made easier. Gael Renault, technical
director of training, France, explains:
"The Interwise solution can improve the
way we do business internally and with clients,
partners and suppliers in a number of ways because
we are able to conduct live events on topics where
we normally would have to travel to meet. With Interwise
we will be able to handle tutoring, consulting,
small group meetings and even online seminars using
our PCs. This is clearly an advantage for when it
involves separate offices or regions", Gael
explains. |
|
Such things as technical reviews with remote
teams, preparation for presales meetings, clarification
of complex issues etc. can be handled online at
your request thereby making it very easy to achieve
an common understanding on vital issues.
The Interwise solution will allow Valtech employees
world wide to conduct a series of different events.
The five distinct communication modes are the
following:
|
|
iMentoring - 1-to-1 tutoring
and consulting |
|
iMeeting - small group meetings
|
|
iSeminar - online seminars for
hundreds |
|
Class - conceptual or skills-building
classes |
|
iCast - live or on-demand broadcasts
to thousands |
|
"Each has their own specialized mode of operation
that is essential for attaining optimal results.
During the adoption phase (or deployment phase)
we will limit ourselves to iMentoring and iMeeting.
iSeminars may also be organized after validation
of our network infrastructure. The solution Valtech
has bought does not encompass video and TV conferencing
at this point. However this is an important first
step in terms of learning and advancing before
we take it the next level, Gael tells.
Even thought the current solution does not involve
video it will be possible to make use of web cams
for up to five people at a time.
Gaël has recently transferred the project
management to Franck Halmaert, Corporate Knowledge
Manager. Franck is now in charge of deploying
the Valtech Communication Center (VCC) within
the company. "We have recently started a
pilot phase, which will end this summer. 7 motivated
Valtech colleagues are now VCC certified and have
already scheduled online meetings.", Franck
explains.
