"Significant market trends indicate that the Internet consulting market is stabilizing in volume after 18 months of continuing recession. Therefore Valtech France now acquires significant skills in that area." says Olivier Cavrel, CFO of Valtech

Valtech France has signed a goodwill purchase agreement with French agency MDEO for their Banking Business unit.

With the quick disintegration of many pure e-business players, Valtech's competitive environment has been evolving dramatically during the last two years. More than ever, our direct competitors are either large integrators or the Fab 4 (former big Five). They have credibility in the IT market but have no integrated front-end skills, which are required for bespoke web based applications. Furthermore, the consulting players keep leaving this market due to large advertising companies and large system integrators re-focusing their activities on their core business. The result is a much weaker competitive landscape for Valtech.

Today, in the new deal of e-business players, graphic and design skills can bring a key differentiator to maturing portals and CRM market where Valtech is expanding. With the MDEO team Valtech, France now is the third operation after the Danish and the Swedish operations to provide high-end, front-end services for its customers with a critical mass and first class costumer references.

Last year, MDEO was acknowledged by the French magazine "Strategies" as one of the five best French web agencies.

MDEO's banking business unit (16 people) are now employees of Valtech and will move to the Valtech premises in La Grande Arche mid-June. The MDEO team is already working on two proposals under Valtech's name (La Poste and the Paris-Expo portals).
